Vale of York Handmade Knitwear

Vale of York Handmade Knitwear Story

Vale of York Handmade Knitwear was formerly known as Inchcape knitwear which was established in 2004 making anything from socks to suits.

Designs are knitted to sell at Craft Fairs, dates being listed on our events page, as well as here in our online shop.

Knitwear has become very fashionable and combined with the warmth and comfort which it offers, it has become popular with all ages. Traditional U.K. yarns are used including wool from Wensleydale and Swaledale sheep.

In recent years Alpacas have appeared in the U.K. and the wonderfully soft yarn from their fleeces is used in some of our garments and accessories, especially in socks. These can be viewed on the following pages so do take a loo

(Sorry we do not post to The Highlands of Scotland or The Republic of Ireland).
